Archives create guides called finding aids to help researchers use manuscript collections. These collections, which contain material related to a person, family, organization, or subject, may encompass a wide variety of materials including correspondence, photographs, films, audio recordings, diaries, manuscripts, printed material, and maps. Finding aids generally include a description of the collection and the person or organization that created it along with a detailed inventory or list of contents. Please note that some collections may not yet have finding aids available and that this site is a work in progress.
