  • Dvořák’s use of folk music in classical composition influenced Dawson.

Tuskegee students formally marched to church each Sunday. This particular procession, likely filmed by Dawson in the early 1950s with the same camera he used for his 1952 West Africa trip, is most likely an annual Homecoming event.
