Curated by Kevin Young, Curator for the Raymond Danowski Poetry Library
Thought to have been the largest poetry library in private hands until its arrival at Emory University in 2003, the Raymond Danowski Poetry Library represents Raymond Danowski's desire to collect every book of poetry published in English in the twentieth century. "'Democratic Vistas': Exploring the Raymond Danowski Poetry Library" is the first major exhibition drawing upon this vast collection. Curated by poet Kevin Young, "Democratic Vistas" displayed more than 200 works of poetry, including some of the rarest and most coveted work of the last century.
A full-color, 160-page catalog of the show, with more than 150 color illustrations, is available for purchase.
