In 1963 Philip Hobsbaum, a lecturer at Queen's University, Belfast, Ireland, organized a writing workshop made up of students, faculty, and local writers. Widely known members of The Group included Ciaran Carson, Seamus Heaney, Michael Longley, Paul Muldoon, and James Simmons. The typed Group Sheets featured on this site contain the poems and short stories presented and discussed at Group meetings.
This interactive exhibition commemorates the life, work, and legacy of African American composer and conductor William Levi Dawson. The site also includes recordings of the 2005 symposium on Dawson’s work and legacy held at Emory.
The French Revolution Pamphlet Collection includes more than 3,000 texts dating from 1776 to 1817. This online collection includes digital versions of a selection of the literary and satirical pamphlets in the collection, as well as links to other online resources.
This part of the Emory Women Writers Resource Project provides full-text access to detective, crime, and romance novels by women. The project includes British and American fiction written from 1860 to 1920.
